can anyone recall a team losing to as many buzzer beaters (or nearly) as Va Tech recently?

It all started with the Duke half-court heave last year around this time.  They've been hit with like 5 since then.

Lines for Tuesday:
Ohio St +8 Miami
Iowa +8 BC
Illinois -2 Clemson
Purdue -2 Duke
Minnesota -7 Virginia

Would be really nice for the Big Ten to go 3-2 tomorrow, and be 4-2 heading into Wednesday.

Considering all 5 Big Ten teams will probably be dogs on Wednesday, if the Big Ten wants any chance, 3 wins minimum tomorrow.

Ohio State does not impress me at all.. they look VERY slow, and their bigs are not as good as advertised.  No real identity on offense this year either.

Lauderdale should look like an ALL-American versus PSUs frontcourt.
His windmill jamb waz pretty nasty.
AND - Ohio State will be a LOT better come Mid - January.

Where is PSU compared to their SEASON MAXIMUM?

My thought is they are somewhere around 90-92.  Not so sure they can improve a lot from here cause the only players that really will improve a LOT DONT play much!

Ohio State is @ 75 maximum.  Tons of room for improvement with all their youth that really hasnt scratched the surface.

i think OSU might be a full year away from hitting their potential though.. they look REAL sloppy so far this year.

If that bonehead thug McClinton doesn't get thrown out, they lose that game by 30+... miami just fell apart in the 2nd half without him out there.

by the way, your boilers look a bit shakey again tonight against more top-flightish competition (though i don't buy duke this year at all)...

They certainly are showing they don't like this overplaying defense so far - they're taking terrible shots.

OSU may have stole one, but Ill and Iowa both gave it back in hard fought losses.

If the B10 has any shot in winning this thing they have to go 2-0 tonight and Purdue is off to a rough start.

Judging by this game, Purdue is nowhere near Duke. They can't do ANYTHING on offense. And, it's not like this Duke team is a defensive juggernaut.

I'd say Duke is one of the top defenses in the country actually - not sure where you get the idea they aren't.. they're long as all hell and they overplay everything like every Coach K team has for years now.

Not like Purdue is an offensive juggernaut to begin with.

Purdue just has no composure against there pressure, similar to how we look against teams that get up in our faces.

Singler p****ing on Hummel.

Back and forth with the Minny v. UVA game. Minny looks tough. PG on UVA, Zieglinski(where was his bro, Hartford?) has thrown the ball away 3 times in the 3 or 4 minutes I've been watching. He's scored a bit, but he appears terrible with the ball, otherwise MN is a great defensive team. MN has a couple nice players.

Zeiglinski just got a 10 sec violation. That's 4 TO's in maybe 5 minutes. We will not have such a problem. Should be interesting matchup vs. MN.

Minny scares me. I think they'll be last year's Purdue, next year.
