"STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) Geary Claxton scored 16 points and Jamelle Cornley added 14 as Penn State beat Mount St. Mary's 65-53 Saturday.

"The duo did most of their damage in the second half, after a solid team effort by the Nittany Lions led to a 32-17 lead at halftime. The Mountaineers never came closer than 10 points in the second, despite a strong second half performance by Landy Thompson from three-point range. ..."
