Dave Jones: PSU hoop schedule released

PSU hoop schedule released:

"Penn State released its men's basketball schedule yesterday and the non-conference segment is entirely appropriate for August -- soft-serve.

"Clearly lining up as many wins as he possibly can before the New Year and the Big Ten slate, third-year head coach Ed DeChellis has racked up eight home bowling pins to go with road trips to Pittsburgh and Texas A&M. The 11th non-con game is the required ACC-Big Ten Challenge match with Atlantic Coast bottom-feeder Clemson.
In all, it's the feeblest home non-con schedule since the bad ol' days of Bruce Parkhill's initial rehab era two decades ago. And DeChellis is obviously doing it for the same reason -- to hopefully give his young squad, last-place finishers the last four years, a taste of confidence. ..."
